There's something I've learnt from horses that I wish more of us remembered.
The one who captures your attention first isn't always the one you'll remember.
It's easy to admire the polished coat, the extravagant movement or the horse that enters the arena demanding attention. But every now and then, a quieter horse reminds us that presence isn't measured by volume.
My own mare has always been that horse.
She's never been the sleekest, the flashiest or the most naturally athletic in the line-up. She doesn't arrive announcing herself, and I've often underestimated what she was capable of. Yet she does something far more valuable. She turns up. Every single time. She tries her heart out, asks for very little in return, and somehow finds a little more when it matters most.
At our last competition, she quietly exceeded every expectation we had. Grand Champion. Three first places and two second places. Not because she was the loudest horse in the ring, but because she gave everything she had, exactly when it counted.
Watching her stand there with her ribbons made me realize that perhaps Grand Champion isn't about being the biggest personality or the obvious favorite. Perhaps it's about consistency. The Willing Heart. The kindness to keep showing up, even when nobody expects it.
It's a thought I've found myself returning to, not just in horses, but in life.
The jewelry I wear most isn't the loudest piece in my collection. It's the bracelet I never think to take off. The necklace, ring or bracelet whose meaning only a handful of people understand. The details that quietly become part of who I am.
Maybe that's why this collection feels so personal.
Not because it's inspired by horses.
But because it's inspired by everything they teach us.
Sometimes, the ones who whisper are the ones we remember most.
